Dubai And Abu Dhabi Experienced Heavy Rainfall Today

 Dubai and Abu Dhabi experienced heavy rainfall today, and the UAE National Meteorological Center issued warnings.



Parts of the UAE, including Abu Dhabi and Dubai, encountered heavy rain on August 20. Videos circulating on social media show vehicles driving on roads severely flooded.

Abu Dhabi police issued a warning to drivers in the Al Ain area, urging them to drive cautiously and obey speed limits. People were also warned not to enter valley areas, as these locations are particularly dangerous during heavy rain.

Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) reminded drivers to maintain safety while driving and to follow RTA safety tips.

The UAE National Meteorological Center has issued orange and yellow warnings covering Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and parts of the northern emirates.

The alert will last until 11 PM tonight. The public should prepare for unstable weather and follow instructions from local authorities.
