#Indian-Thai contestant Veena wins the 2025“Miss Universe Thailand” crown and will represent Thailand on the world stage



29-year-old Veena stood out in the 2025 “Miss Universe Thailand” pageant, becoming the first Thai-Indian beauty queen to win the crown. She will  be representing  Thailand in the “Miss Universe” competition going to held in Bangkok this November.

Veena graduated from the National Institute of Development Administration in Thailand and has been the national runner-up three times, earning attention as the “perennial second place.” This time, in her fourth participation, she finally realized her dream of winning the crown. She advanced from 77 contestants in the preliminaries, went through swimsuit, evening gown presentations, and Q&A sessions, and ultimately defeated Bangkok contestant Praew Praewanit and Phuket contestant Del Naruemol to win the crown.

Veena’s parents are both Indian, and she was also the first contestant to participate in Miss Universe Thailand as a married woman, later divorcing and competing again. Her victory not only refreshed Thailand’s pageant history but also brought more attention to multicultural backgrounds on the Thai stage.
