No Wi-Fi, No Lights, Sharjah Nomad Luxury RV Camp Is About To Open In The Kalba Valley
No Wi-Fi, no lights, Sharjah Nomad luxury RV camp is about to open in the Kalba Valley
Sharjah will open a brand new eco-resort on the East Coast later this year, introducing an off-grid hospitality concept that combines luxury accommodation with minimal environmental impact.
The project, named "Nomad," is planned to open in Q4 2025 and will deploy 20 solar-powered RVs in the valley near the Kalba Nature Reserve. These locally manufactured accommodation units will operate under a "no Wi-Fi, no lights" policy to encourage people to try "digital detox" and protect night sky visibility.
This project is the latest member of the "Sharjah Series," a portfolio of eco-resorts operated by the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq). In recent years, the authority has invested over 300 million dirhams to expand this network, which currently covers seven major destinations within the emirate, including deserts, coasts, mountains, and traditional towns. Officials say these developments aim to preserve cultural characteristics and biodiversity while providing visitors with a more meaningful slow travel experience.
